Categories help buyers find things; pinning decides what they see first. Both are optional and you can change them at any time.

Categories

  1. Go to Categories and add a category with a name and an optional description.
  2. Assign products to it in the Basics section of each product.

Your storefront shows a filter for each category that has products. There is no limit on the number of categories on either plan. A coupon can also be limited to one category; see coupons.

Filtered storefront views (a category or a search) are not indexed by search engines on their own; your main store page is. That keeps Google from listing near-duplicate pages of your shop.

Pinning and product order

Go to Products → Sequencing. Give each product you want at the top a unique number: 1 is shown first, 2 second, and so on. Products without a number follow, newest first. Changes apply immediately on your storefront.

  • Free plan: you can pin up to 3 products, to positions 1 to 3.
  • Premium: you can set the order of your whole catalogue.

Hidden and sold-out products do not keep a storefront position. Compare plans on the pricing page.

Tips

  • Pin your best seller first and a new release second, and revisit the order when you launch something new.
  • Keep category names short; they appear as buttons on mobile.
  • Group by what buyers look for (for example "Plugins", "Presets", "Memberships") rather than by internal product codes.
  • A category with no visible products is not shown on your storefront, so you can prepare one before launching its products.
