New ZappSell stores start hidden from search engines. Search engines judge a whole site by its weakest pages, so empty or copy-pasted stores would hurt every seller on ZappSell. As soon as your store passes a few quality checks, it is listed automatically. Nobody has to approve it.

Your progress is on the Google visibility card on the My shop page. It shows what is missing, in plain English, for the store and for each product.

Store checks

  • About section of at least 200 characters. Write it under Settings → Shop Settings → About your store. Formatting does not count toward the length.
  • A store logo (the avatar in Shop Settings).
  • At least one product that passes the product checks below.
  • At least 7 days old, or at least one completed sale.
  • Not hidden by you, and in good standing.

Product checks

  • Listed (not hidden) and active.
  • In stock, or unlimited stock.
  • Has a product image.
  • A description of at least 600 characters, not counting formatting.
  • An original description. If another product anywhere on ZappSell has the same text, both are kept out of search.
  • A name without terms we keep out of search results. These are mostly terms associated with accounts, cracked or leaked software, cheats and similar listings. This does not stop you selling the product; it only keeps that page out of search engines.

Products that pass are listed in your store's sitemap at yourname.zappsell.com/sitemap.xml. Products that do not pass can still be sold normally.

How long does it take?

ZappSell updates your store's status as soon as you save changes. Search engines then need to crawl your store again, which can take from days to a few weeks. Sharing your store link on your own site and socials helps it get discovered sooner.

Hiding your store from search engines

Prefer to sell only through links you share? Turn on Hide my store from search engines on the Google visibility card. Your store keeps working normally; search engines are simply told not to list it.

Writing descriptions that help

  • Say exactly what the buyer receives: a key, a code, or a link, and for how long it works.
  • Explain how to redeem or activate it, and which versions or platforms it supports.
  • Answer the questions buyers usually send you before purchasing.
  • Write your own text rather than pasting the manufacturer's copy.
